Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address. We use passwordless magic-link authentication, so we do not collect or store passwords. If you complete your profile, you may provide additional information such as your display name.

Domain Listing Data

When you list a domain for sale, we collect information about the domain including the domain name, asking price, description, category, and DNS verification records. This information is displayed publicly on your listing page.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with Namearch, including pages visited, search queries, domains viewed, time spent on pages, and actions taken (such as adding domains to a watchlist or submitting offers). This data is collected through server logs and analytics tools.

Device and Browser Information

We collect technical information including your IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and referring URL. This helps us optimize the platform and detect abuse.

Escrow.com

When you complete a transaction, we share necessary details with Escrow.com to facilitate secure payment processing and domain transfer. Escrow.com has its own privacy policy governing its use of your data.

Service Providers

We use third-party services for hosting (Vercel), database management (Supabase), and email delivery. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually required to protect your information.

Transaction Counterparties

When a sale is agreed, limited information is shared between buyer and seller as necessary to complete the domain transfer. This may include email addresses for transfer coordination.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request. We may also disclose information to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sodasoft LLC, our users, or the public.

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or regulatory purposes (such as transaction records, which we retain for 7 years).

Usage data and server logs are retained for up to 12 months for security and analytics purposes, after which they are aggregated or deleted.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS), secure authentication (magic links with expiration), and access controls on our infrastructure.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
